Pokémon Snacks You Can Only Find in Japan

If you’re a Pokémon fan, Japan is a snack paradise. Walk into any convenience store or supermarket and you’ll find Pokémon-branded snacks everywhere — and most of them never make it overseas.

Here are some of the best Pokémon snacks available exclusively in Japan.

Pokémon Wafer Chocolate

Made by Lotte, this is a thin chocolate wafer that comes with a collectible Pokémon sticker inside. There are 24 different stickers to collect, so every pack is a mini gacha experience. The chocolate wafer itself is light, crispy, and surprisingly good for a “collector’s item.”

Pokémon Noodle

A mini cup noodle from Sapporo Ichiban featuring Pikachu on the lid. The noodles are soy sauce flavored, and the best part? The ingredients include tiny Pokémon-shaped fish cakes — Pikachu faces floating in your soup. It’s adorable and delicious.

Pokémon Hoshi Tabeyo

Star-shaped rice crackers made by Befco, featuring Pokémon characters on the package. Each cracker is a perfect little star — lightly salted and crispy. Simple, addictive, and the packaging alone makes it a collector’s item.

Pokémon Curry

A mild Japanese curry in a retort pouch, designed for kids but loved by adults too. The curry itself is mild and slightly sweet, served with star and Pokémon-shaped vegetables. Pour it over rice for an instant Pokémon meal.

Pokémon Gummy

Fruit-flavored gummies shaped like various Pokémon. Every bag is a surprise — you might get a Pikachu, Eevee, or Charizard shape. The flavors rotate seasonally.

Why These Stay in Japan

Most of these snacks are produced under Japanese licensing agreements that don’t extend internationally. That’s why you won’t find them at your local store — but you might find them in a Fuji Time box.

We regularly source limited-edition and character-themed snacks for our Seasonal Surprise Box. Pokémon snacks are always a fan favorite.
